We Are Talking About MENTAL HEALTH and COMMUNITY!

The Brain and Body Coalition is started July off with health on the mind at the Bebe Moore Campbell BIPOC Mental Health Awareness Month Event's "Community Kick Off!" The event took place over the course of two days on July 1st and 2nd for 2025. Lead organizer and Mental Health Educator, Heath Ann spoke to The Goodie Drop about the amazing speakers, activities they had while partnering with Dutchess County Commission on Human Rights at 230 North Rd, in Poughkeepsie, NY.

Ann says the event was filled with resources for creating healing spaces and "finding healing spaces for yourself in the community". One example Ann mentioned is The Loeb, an art gallery at Vassar College. Ann says, The Loeb is currently offering programs to the local Poughkeepsie Community.
